EMBERS (Eastside Movement for Business & Economic Renewal Society) provides business and training support services for individuals with limited resources, from Vancouver's Eastside, to start their own micro-enterprises.

We strive to empower people to turn their talents into self-owned, small businesses by providing accessible, low-cost business training and support to individuals, regardless of their personal situation or background. By doing this, we help to revitalize Vancouver's inner city by assisting people to become self-sufficient owners of their own micro-enterprises.

WHAT WE OFFER:

Our Build A Business training course is offered 3 times a year. This program is aimed at giving people the skills and tools required to plan and run their business.

The Grow A Business Seminar Series is a monthly, topic oriented continuation of our Build A Business course.

Business Coaching is offered on a one-on-one basis to help clients prepare business plans, loan applications, market research and assist with the launch, marketing and operations of their new business. 

CA$H Plan (Capital Acquisition and $avings Help) plan is a matched-savings program where a participant's savings toward a business are matched 3 to 1.

Business Support Services are available to current and past students. Our business support services include, but are not limited to, computer training, bookkeeping, web design, office operations, etc.
